Stop Smoking With Hypnotherapy
I am passionate about helping people stop smoking through hypnotherapy. Stopping smoking is such a positive thing to do for yourself and the people around you. After you have stopped smoking your energy increases, your health is so much better and of course you have more money in your pocket.
The best time to stop is now.
Hypnosis is a natural and safe process that helps people to stop smoking. When a person is hypnotised the conscious analytical part of the mind takes a back seat and we can communicate with the subconscious in a powerful and positive way.
When people stop smoking they do not go through withdrawal as a drug addict would because nicotine is not physically addictive. The cravings a smoker feels are all there because of how the mind has been hijacked by nicotine (read my explanation of this here) and because we know how this works we can beat it.
“I would just like to say a massive thank you, after 20 years of smoking and trying a million times to give up, after the one session I have done it ! I have passed the two week stage and feel so much healthier, have so much energy and don’t even think about cigarettes. I really didn’t think hypnosis would work and have been proved completely wrong. My eight year old daughter says you are now her hero for making her mum stop smoking !”
Simon Garfield Hypnotherapy
I have been hypnotised many times and I have always found it to be a very peaceful, relaxing experience. When I moved my focus inwards I found the hypnotist’s suggestions to be powerful and the visualisations amazing.
Because of this I’m not surprised to have seen great results where people enter a new chapter in their lives. All of this leads me to be confident in offering hypnotherapy as a really effective way of helping people.
At Simon Garfield Hypnotherapy I combine Hypnotherapy with NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) to make the treatment sessions even more effective. I find this mix of approaches complement each other particularly well both in delivery and results.
There have been thousands of clinical trials that show how effective hypnotherapy can be. In 1953 the British Medical Association recommended that instructions in its clinical use be given to all medical students.
In hypnotherapy you will be very relaxed and receptive to suggestions and ideas that are intended to help you. It is a state of wakefulness where the focus of attention is internal rather than external.
In this relaxing hypnotic state you can combine visualisation and suggestion to bring about the changes you desire. During the hypnotherapy the mind is very quiet and focused. It is in a state of absorption and will respond well to direction and suggestion.
